Perth City

Great news for the city of Perth today – officially announced in Parliament that Perth been granted city status.  Even though it has always been known as the Fair City of Perth according to Royal statute, Perth was not recognised as such for governmetal purposes.

This is great news for Perth for an economic, confidence and touristic point of view and should bring many more visitors to the city.  This will be particularly the case whnen the Queen visits in July as part of her Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
